Why do you use Twitter?

It’s been asked before, but needs to be asked again, why do you use Twitter?

 Here’s my two cents worth.

To keep up with new ideas, share thoughts, stay connected. As Director of Emerging Technologies, it is critical for me to be up to date with the latest developments in online applications, features and websites. Twitter is by far the best way to do this. Most of the really useful ideas or tools I have discovered in the past few months have come from using Twitter. I found new websites, discussions, tools in alpha, new meetings and new colleagues. Best of all, I am providing value to my organization having met people who subsequently have given us business in areas outside my own department.
